Kidde Fire Extinguisher Recall

Postby Bigwoods » Thu Dec 28, 2017 12:31 am

Don't know where I heard this but Kidde is recalling millions of extinguishers with plastic handles. Mine was a Lifesaver model about 7 years old. You just go to web site and there is a number to call. You want to have Model number and numbers printed on the cylinder and if it is a recalled unit you will get a safer model sent to you. Never know when you might need on that works. :campfire:

Looks like I'll have to check all of mine...I have 10 in all, all Kidde, varying from 2 to 10 years old. Probably need to replace some anyway.

Thanks for the tip. I went through the process and found my 1984 (!!!!) Kidde Fire Away 110 to be not affected. Probably ought to replace it though, had no idea it was that old.
